Happy hour in Sydney is best accompanied with a view. As a Sydneysider, one of my favourite things to do is grab a drink with friends and ocean vistas.

Opera Bar

Opera Bar is a laid back bar at the base of the Opera House, with some of the best views in Sydney. There’s often live music, and the food is great. Iconic.

Watsons Bay Hotel

When I hear Watsons Bay Hotel I think summer. Long sunny days at the beach, perfectly ended with sunset drinks and a seafood platter.

Cruise Bar

Situated at Sydney’s cruise ship terminal in Circular Quay, this bar has one of the best views of Sydney Harbour. The rooftop section is especially nice.

Henry Deane

Henry Deane is a trendy rooftop bar in Millers Point. Sweeping views of Barangaroo and Sydney Harbour are accompanied with delicious cocktails and fresh food.

Barangaroo House & Smoke Bar

Barangaroo House has a few bars and restaurants with views to Darling Harbour. A perfect place to visit for tasty drinks and exploration of the town.

Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge

Hyde Hacienda in Circular Quay is another bar with a view. Here one of the main draws are the fun cocktails. Whip out your phones to capture the bubbling smoky creations.

Bondi Trattoria

Trattoria sits at the back of Southern Bondi, and serves up amazing Italian cuisine. Great cocktails, service and perfect to watch the sunset.

Bar 83

Sydney’s highest bar means it boasts the best views of Sydney. Sweeping panoramic views of the city, Blue Mountains, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and the east. Cocktails are a bit mediocre (watery) but the food is good snacking. If you want a filling dinner and great drinks don’t go here, but if you want to enjoy the sunset on Sydney with unparalleled views this is your place.

Coogee Pavilion

Coogee Pav is an institution. Expect it to be buzzing and enjoy drinks right on the beach.
